This time difference is great! I got to bed after having looked at your blog and then I wake up and there is a whole fresh day of posts! That mosaic is so beautiful.
Is the mosaic a Chagall?
aw, looks great!
Looking at your pics with Julie and we're both uber-envious. Julie lived in Paris for a few years working on a journal and she goes on about how amazing France is and i haven't been yet. I love the images of crowded buildings. Gorgeous! Please keep posting stuff. Sketches=good....
It's lovely, isn't it? The mosaic I mean... I have no idea who made it, I wonder if I'll find it again tomorrow... there are so many little roads here curling in all directions and all are full of amazing things to see, I think I could spend a week just in the old village of Biot!I took more pictures, shall post them... not many drawings, alas, combination of Mistral blowing and us trying to keep up with an ambitious sight-seeing schedule. Tomorrow we'll try and just hang out... amybe I can find out some more about this place here.
I like how Biot is ever so slightly less touristy then most of the other old pretty places I've seen here. Seems like it's actually packed with people who live here, and some actual artists, too... mind you I bet mid-season one couldn't move for tourists.
