Autumn

Autumn! The first rainy day in Autumn! And like clockwork, it kicks in. I MUST HAVE CANDLES! I MUST HAVE GERMAN TREE CAKE! And so lucky I am to have a LIDL in the neighborhood.
So, spent some very happy time eating Amaretto-infused tree cake by candlelight.
I don't know why but I always feel at home in Autumn, no matter where I am. Autumn is like a place.

Oh autumn is my favourite time of year. Or is it winter. Either way I love them both. I am so much happier in dark nights with lots of lamps on and cosy jumpers, hats and scarves in the cold. I don't like summer, i dont like the sun that much (pale Scottish skin) and have always prefered wrapping up and hiding away in nests.

I commented on your comment about the broccoli on my blog but I cant tell you how happy I am that you bought a single broccoli. I like to think you and the old man were somehow connected in this decision. He was very sweet x

I have no idea how I found you but I am a children's librarian and I love your illustrations. What a talent you have.

Hello Romi! Thank you very much :)

Jenni, I agree autumn is the best time for nestbuilding! It's the only time of year when I wake up and know that I MUST redecorate. I want to hang something crafty and twig-based in the window and get colourful scatter cushions for the window sill to contrast with the grey sky...

And I buy at least one new fabulous wooly hat every autumn even though I always wear the same one anyway... one day I want a hat-shelf for them all with hooks underneath for handbags. I got a collection of very similar l brownish-red handbags... they also happen in autumn...

I've not gone one-coin shopping in months so maybe it was in the air :)
