Librivox

Now that my desk is set up comfortably I am spending time on the web again... and my first grand discovery is LIBRIVOX. A growing collection of free audiobooks read and donated by members of the public. How good is that??? Am listening to "Bartleby the scrivener" right now with a canary on my shoulder and have "Dracula" downloaded for the afternoon.

Hmmm, Dracula is a bit of a mixed bag but Tom Sawyer is great!

Ah! I missed a bunch of your posts! I've been busy/stressed. I love the dog. I have the same sketchbook problem. My finished paintings are always a bit of a suprise to me and people have funny expectations about sketchbooks, a lot of people put almost finished work in them which drives me nuts. I reserve the right to make all sorts of mistakes in my sketchbooks. I think people who only do perfect drawings never learn anything. I'm gonna check out the free audio books- new ones are expensive.

Oh quick get some de-stressing audio books... am sampling some 60's science fiction radio plays from the internet archive today, mmm.

I agree, how can one be expected to only do "proper" work? Bah.
